Mummy dearest

Though its not Mothers day I somewhat have the urge to talk about my mum. I`ll share it with all of you who are willing to read my part of story:) Haha how do you decribe your mum? what are the special or nice things that you`ve done with her? For me live has been great with her around. A women who likes shopping, likes to read inspirational books, likes to cook, feed us with food, spend time with us and being a mother!

When I was young during primary school I stayed with my grandma and aunt in town. In the afternoons i`ll watch hindustani movies with grandma and watch all the fairytale movies with her too. One of my favourites- Snow White. I still remember while waiting for mum to come back from work i`ll clean the room and fold the beds, and when she reach home i`ll close her eyes and take her upstairs then suprise her. Haha.. soo cute lolz. Perasan la. Free times we would go swimming with dad n mum. I will always ride on her back n she swims..

I was very happy because my dad bought me a big mansion toy house with lights, small people and a sports car. When my dad came back from his tuition we will certainly go for supper. One of my fav food were tiny Char siew pau and chee cheong fun. Dads fav was Hokkien mee, curry mee.. ohh and soya bean or leong fun for drinks. One night when my mum was working till late at night because of her hotels event, dad took me there to sit on a pony haha..

Parents always like to take me to McD. I love to drink their milkshake. Yummy. But now seldom drink. Missed those times where we would just go out to have a nice meal. One day when dad was having tuition I peed from the upstairs and the urine drip down and got the tables.. lolz.. Uhm... not my fault lar.. sobs. All my aunties and uncles like to take me around for meals.. Ohh ya during CNY my mum will always bake cookies. Haha you`ll see my hands trying to get bz that time.. She loves to bake too. Cheese cake, carrot, chocholate.. Till now every year she`ll at least bake a few types of cookies however bz she is. haha last weekend she tried to cook one of my grandmas specialty- Laksa Lemak type. Sis say it was good. Haha mum wanted to try out first so that she can cook for me when i get back:p so nice.

You see.. my grandma is a very very good cook. Don know how to describe her delicious cooking. She`s half nyonya and hokkien. So I was brought up with all the nyonya delicacies like Curry Kapitan, Curry Chicken, Gulai Tumis, Jeow who Char, Loh Bak and lots more. Sorry ppl fpr tempting, but I dont really get the chance to eat her food liao cos she`s getting older so we ask her not to cook.

Mum has been very strong. I think her words make me stronger. Last year I started living out of pg to study here in INTI. I usually cry when i leave pg. She told me "God is with you, leave it to Him and he`ll do the rest for you. Do not worry because you are a child of God." Those words really transform me into someone of who i am now. Mum has her ways of telling me things. Although sometimes I find it hard to communicate with her because she wont stop talking once I bring out an issue which I don`t really like. Argh.. Haha.

I think I have some side of her, like her patience and sensitivity. My dad is someone totally different with a more aggresive character. Haha but both compliment each other. That`s whats most important. I`ll stop here for now. Im proud of you mum =) Love you loads.

Mid- Autumn Festival..

Last night was Mid Autumn Festival.. Haha celebrated with my classmates in the hostel area. It was a last min thingy. I had tennis training before that. This sem we will officially be coaches for the club. All the committees were very helpful to help out. Haha and me with little experience on coordinating the coaching had to figure out a few types of drilling session. Yong Soon ask me.. Out of idea ah? lolz. cos i was thinking for a awhile. Had to ask Kelvin to fetch me to Giant to get tanglung as requested by Jess. Had dinner at Kopitiam U Lim with YS, Mic and Kelvin. Not nice. To all I dont recommend this place. lucky YS chia me haha. TANGLUNG SUDAH HABIS DIJUAL said the salesgirl. Expected lah.

Reach home bath n straight came out. We the boh-soo-cho girls walk around the hostel with mooncakes. Found a spot to watch Chang Er but didnt appear. Haha as usual me trying to crack some funny jokes sing some songs. Then took photos. Decided to yum cha at ABUKAS. ABU+KASSIM. Kah Yeans version. Ordered drinks.. Place not efficient.. all complaint too sweet.
Haha then went to Al-Salam because SQ wanted to have fries. It was a pleasant night afterall despite the shortcomings. By the way a girl gave us a tanglung which we took some pics with it. Sorry pics not available yet =)

Today, practically lazy day. Had econs then took pics with Mr.Yee. Hmm todays class 3 of my frens keep making unusual sounds. They were ah choooOs, Coughs and Sneezing.. must be last nights strong winds:p Get well soon friends hehe. For business only 3 ppl wanted to attend.. so class was cancelled. Tomorrows biz too will be off. Raining heavily.. all of them wanted to snooze more haha. However, Econs classes will be as usual untill the exams are closely approaching. Eee... so unfair.. my bf got some goodies from fly-fm.. way cool.. happy lah u.. haha.

Melaka, I come and I go

This weekend had many cool stuff, first was following my spontaneous bf to Melaka, making me get ready in 15 min which was not my usual preparation time. Darn. lolz. Made me so unorganized. Had to force myself to pack and think many times to make sure i took all my stuff. Luckily it was jus a 2D1N trip. So it was still ok. Stayed at A Famosa in a bungalow type house. Went to Jonker St at night, had durian cendol. So so only. Makan alot that night, ate something different only the sauce was different. Satay Celup Capitol. Famous shop. Not bad.

Speed Back to catch up on MU V Chelsea. Haha MU won. I jus watch a bit when they scored. Haha not really interested but with the mood from the cheering i was attracted to it. Didnt sleep well.. mayb it was too cold, pillow too high. gosh complaining me. lolz. Haha.. The nxt morning went to Jonker st again to meet the supplier but i think he was too "busy" so called lar. Nvm, so we decided to hv chicken rice ball for lunch.

Bf was really kind to pack my stuff for me, haha sweet :p Then I like it when he walks first but he`ll put one hand at the back so that i`ll hold his hand and walk together.. Aww. Lolz.. i dared him to pluck a flower at the side, which he did but it fell on the ground. Good also cos it was the flower use for funerals lolz. By the way girls like to b given flowers sometimes. *winks* Gals you all agree rite?:p It`s a natural thing because we are more emo than guys. That`s what makes us different. Guys will disagree but its relatively a fact hehe.

Ohh ya during lunch we spent quite long at the shop. Me quietly listening to what guys talk on the table. Way different but very informative for me. Haha he`s imparting knowledge indirectly to me lolz :p Wonderful isn`t. For me it is =)

A new experience for me to go through. I`ve learnt more about the way he speaks to his friends, how he handles situations, and getting to know his friends. Something quite cool to do:p

Looking good

These days there are soo many fashion ads, advertisements and other medias which potray images of girls who are super skinny. Haha do you want to be like them? hmm not too thin la. not so nice. Look not healthy too. These are some tips on how to look gorgeous :

- Have a good posture. It's good for you and makes you appear taller and more confident.
- Get shiny hair by rinsing your hair with cold water.
- Be confident.Confidence is what every glamour girls have.
- Party, but don't drink or do drugs. Especially if you are under 21. For illegal drugs, no matter how old you are, NEVER. It's very hard to quit drugs or drinking. And those drugs affect your brain. Drinking or doing drugs to look "cool"? If you do that, you're deadly mistaken. And those drugs will never get you true friends. Real glamour girls never drink, smoke, or do drugs!
- Smile =). Who doesn't love a warm, gorgeous smile?
- Be nice to everyone. Even you think the person is not really "cool", you have to be polite and nice to the person.
- Read many good books. Even if you are not in school anymore, you can still read books and learn! You don't have to be a bookworm. But you can't just read nothing but your favorite magazines and nutrition facts!
- Rest. If you feel tired, relax. Take a warm bath, listen to music, watch your favorite movie, take a nap, enjoy a free makeover from a nearby makeup counter, etc.
- Do not be a trend-chaser. Be a trendsetter. However, if you decided that you don't want to follow trends, that's really fine.
- Be yourself.People can tell whether you are faking or not. Nobody likes a phony.
- Plan an all-girls night. Sometimes just being away from boys, school, and other distractions will help you bring out your inner self. Be flirty, fun, and neat!

Nottingham

Single bedroom with shared bathroom
Do we look like students of Nottingham??

Ahem?? lolz..

Had some suprising entertainment- some music video Me and Jess at Peaceful Bridge

Yesterday had an enjoyable day. Went to Nottingham with Jess to visit a friend. Whole day spent there. Reach KTM waited a while for Eugene to pick us. Then had no idea where to have lunch, dropped by a satay shop. Looks familiar with me. Had few sticks of chicken n mutton satay, plus ketupat, the gravy was good. Forgot the name but it had Malaysia something on it. lolz. Then went to Groba, near Semenyih for more food but closed, ended up in the temple. Had lunch at a remote area which was equipped with karaoke set. Had a few good singers who could actually sing well. Imagine me living there all the mosquitoes will breed on a gal from town as that was what happened to Jess. Aww.. pity her. Took some pics of Nottingham. Wow was the first word to descrive the place. You all should have a look at the place some time. The hostels are open to girls and boys. Quite similar to UK style architecture. However, one thing dissappointing was the difficulty to get food if you dont have a car.
Reach back didnt have the mood to study. Slept till morning. Today got to catch up on my work. Going jogging with Ch haha. How long we havent been jogging. Stamina? Hmm i`ll see for myself later. haha. This weekend i`ll be staying in INTI not going to KL because Im a good girl:p Tomorrow Ci Longs going to Melaka for business trip. I have some time to myself. I didnt have the chance to visit the Ramadan Bazaar yet. OO... the foods are soo tempting based on the food blog I visited. Well I have been eating alot, Ipoh trip one of them.
Ipoh a time for me and him to spend some time with each other. A family trip to know more about his family. His dad not working there anymore so we drove the car down to get his things. Overall it was something new that i`ve never experienced before =)

Woke up at 10 something, took a nice bath n studied a little bit then went for lunch. Today had law class only, Mr Reynolds our lecturer one of the man i respect most. His jokes are lame but at least he tries to cheer us up during our lessons. Today he changed his style of teaching saying it was UK style, students jus listen and need not take down any notes. It was relaxing but made my mind wonder off somewhere lolz.. Got my paper 4 mock exam. Expected it was very bad cos my answer was totally out of the question. Sir said it was expected from the students because he didnt teach us dis topic before so its for us to learn from the mistakes. Todays lesson was about Vicarious Liability where a person who commits the tort will be not be liable but another party who is an employer will be vicariously liable. Suddenly he came up with Jasmines Florist which i forgot why he said it, he was explaining the French men were known to be romantic while the Malaysian style would be girls asking the guys to buy flowers for them lolz. That i agree but not all men are considered that "category" la haha.

After class followed Jess to Ch`s room cos she wanted to download Evans Almighty. Yay movie to watch :p Then we had some photos taken by Edna and had some mooncake which tasted nice. Last night my bf came back late.. don know what time. Hmm wonder how did the discussion went about. Well i`ll be cooking porridge later for dinner wanted to eat some homecooked food. Tonight will be reading Business.

I have something to share which is very interesting for girls to find out about guys behaviour which is an art that I need to master lolz.. During an argument or disagreement about certain topics girls usually use the wrong approach. I`m one of them hehe..

- If you are a woman, a practical rule when discussing a topic is that if you want to debate, prove or compete with your boyfriend then stay in that role throughout the discussion. If you want to be understood or nurtured, then relate to him by sharing how you feel about the subject.
- Don't switch to becoming a soft, feeling and vulnerable woman after you have presented yourself logically. All that will do is encourage him not to discuss things with you in the future. He'll be afraid of you dropping the feelings bomb.

- Most of the time I would suggest that you start off softly by speaking to him about how you feel concerning the issue so he can recognize your feelings which will signal to him that you are not trying to be competitive.
-On the occasions you do need to prove your point, hold your ground regardless of how you feel. Remember it doesn't matter as much which way you relate to him, the most important thing you can do is not to combine the two.

Guys are soft creatures whose feelings need to be taken care of too. so girls be gentle. Tomorrow no class.. Wee... Im missing my family now.. Sis is studying very hard for her finals. I know she's smarter than me and tougher to impress too lolz.. Anyhow she`s someone who have a soft spot inside. Love ya gal.

First post...

Im not good at this blog thing. Well I`ve decided that I should let the people around me know what`s happening in my life rather than keep them wondering. I`m sure my friends all around the world wants to keep in touch with me and this is a way I can relate my life to them. People I don`t see everyday but they place an important footprint in my life.

I`m currently in my Alevels and will be finishing soon this Nov. My exams is starting on the 25th of Oct so I only have one month left. Meanwhile Im having my revision classes so its quite relaxing but the amount of things I have to study makes me a bit stressful. Today my stomach didnt feel comfortable so i cook barley water to drink but i put sugar inside so i wonder how much sugar i`ve consumed today. These few days we have been taking class pics with our lecturers. One thing really sporting about my business lecturer is he was very enthusiastic during the photoshoot. Carly being the choreographer and he gladly followed the acts which made the whole class burst into laughter untill outsiders walking pass were staring at us.

Went for dinner with Jess and Kah Yean then we saw CH, Edna and Abby at Tomyam so we joined them. Had fried meehoon that didnt taste nice. This Saturday is our Tennis Club trip to Fraser`s Hill.. Hmm but Im still not sure whether im going. This will be my last sem here and Im so gonna miss everyone. You see our A levels class is very small about 11 of us girls. So news is circulated very fast but it`s a good thing because we`re closely knitted and care for each other. I used to stay in the hostel but now i`ve shifted to the apartment because it`s more comfortable. Nevertheless, one of my best time are the times when i spent my time in the hostel. Below are things we did:

1) Sing karaoke
2)Dance BUTTONS- nearly all of my classmates cramping in one room and cooking maggi
mee. The room was shockingly loud that night but it was terribly fun.
3)Bathing door to door at the same time after basketball till we couldnt sleep at night.
4) Splashing water over to Ch when she was bathing.
5)Changing in the room while Abby n Ch will try to pull off my towel
6)Hanging all of our clothes in the room after washing
7)Going for suppers
8)Having a living alarm clock- Ch will wake me up every morning.
9)Studying till late at night
10)Waking up early to go shopping
11)All of my friends joined tennis club for one semester & the list goes on..

Those were the days.... as people say. I continued to have a lot of fun after shifting. We had cooking sessions and birthday parties in the house. All of us would share out the cost and happily eating. These are the activities we do together despite not having the luxuries of TV, shopping complexes, a car, but friends were the comforter and a motivation to keep going on. Really appreciate the times. I didn`t thought so much when i first came to INTI because after receiving the news that i`ve been awarded sports scholarship i made the decision to study there. I was homesick when i first arrived then I always cried when I came back from Pg. Haha It made me more independant and gave me the chance to make crucial decisions and take bigger responsiblities. A levels will end soon but its a phase of life that everyone of us needs to go through. Its disheartening to see people leaving when they have made a difference. From my experiences of my tennis friends leaving for overseas too study, I do understand the need to seperate because all of us have a bright future ahead and this is just the beginning. This is just part of my time here in INTI and there are more but i`ll stop here for the moment.

Hmm my econs lecturer js now asked me which topic would i choose during the exam. From his opinion I may do market structure since he has emphasize quite a lot on Market Structure. For Law i`ll try to finish studying everything, but the cases are just too much. Tomorrow I only have one class..oo so nice.. because Mr. Chen, business, decided to cancel it based on the majority. Yay, that`s why I can still afford to relax lolz.. ;p
